Location: Kendall Indian Hammocks Park
Date: January 13th, 2018
Number of volunteers: 64 volunteers
Trash collected: about 500 pounds
Highlights: What a great clean up to help us kick off the New Year! Volunteers helped clear up much of the debris left in the park preserves from Hurricane Irma, and we appreciate their active efforts in helping our community in much-needed areas. We appreciate Coral Reef Spanish Honor Society, Key Club, and National Honor Society for coming out to volunteer at this event, and showing their passion and appreciation for the environment, as well as our team leaders Damon and Malinda for coordinating the cleanup. Volunteers found many interesting items, from toilets to shopping carts, and we hope to see these dedicated volunteers return for future cleanups.
